We help Nigerians find businesses worth their money, and give honest businesses the credibility they have earned. We are based here, built here, and answerable to the people who use us.
See how Ratecrest worksBuying anything in Nigeria, online or in person, usually starts with the same question: is this place real? Will they deliver what they promise? Are the reviews I am reading from real customers, or paid?
Ratecrest was built to answer those questions clearly. We are an independent platform where Nigerians share honest experiences with the businesses they actually use, and where business owners earn the credibility of being reviewed openly.
We are not a directory that lists everyone uncritically. We are not a platform where ratings can be bought. We work hard to keep fake reviews off Ratecrest, and we publish what we do and how we do it in plain language.
The credibility of every review on this site is what makes the next decision easier for the next Nigerian. That is the work.
Anyone who has used a business in Nigeria can leave a review on Ratecrest. The review is public from the moment it is posted, and the business can reply right under it.
Behind that simple flow is a lot of work. Our team and our systems watch for fake reviews, paid-for ratings, coordinated attacks on businesses, and the other ways platforms get gamed elsewhere. When we find something, we act on it, and we tell the affected user.
We are open about how we work. Our verification process, our review rules, and our content moderation policy are all published in plain language. If you ever want to know why a decision was made, the rule is in writing.
Five principles guide every decision we make, from product design to how we handle disputes.
A review platform is only as useful as the honesty on it. We protect that, even when it costs us advertisers.
Pricing in Naira, decisions under Nigerian law, support that understands the market. Not a foreign template.
Reviewers and businesses get the same process, the same right of reply, and the same right of appeal.
Our rules, our process, and our limits are written down in plain language and easy to find.
Fake reviews are the biggest threat to what we are building. We work on detecting them every day.
